Over 15 years ago, I found an earring on the street. It was blue, with an iridescent drop, and I wanted the other one! I went to a jewelry store, and they tried to make a duplicate pair, but nothing was as nice. It started me on a quest to learn as much as I could about beading. I took a class in wire-wrapping at the Harvard Square bead store, and starting learning my craft. Over the years, I have attended eight Bead and Button Shows in Milwaukee, and took a lot of classes learning different techniques. It is not just the sparkle of the beads which intriques me, it is the way beads are assembled to make beautiful jewelry. I make all kinds of jewelry; wire-wrapped, crocheted, hand knotted with silk thread, Kumihimo weave on my Marudai, metal clay fired in my Paragon kiln, and on and on.
The last 15 years have been a wondrous journey into the world of beading. I have met many wonderful people, purchased from a wide variety of knowledgeable vendors and traveled as far away as Hawaii to purchase top quality pearls and beads.
Please enjoy looking at my jewelry, and ask me questions. I'd love to add you to my list of jewelry friends!
